SHULU is a South African-based jewellery brand specialising in limited collections and one-off pearl and semi-precious stone jewellery. Our founders have over 25 years' experience and expertise in sourcing, designing, and creating elevated pieces.

Ethos and ethics are central to all that we do, and we are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our jewellery at every stage. We only work with suppliers whose standards align with our commitment to sustainability, integrity, and an abiding respect for this extraordinary planet we call home.
Our Materials
We work with pearls – the only precious gem in the world created by a living creature – and semi-precious stones. Our freshwater pearls include rounded, potato, oval, button, mabe, baroque, coin, stick, seed, freeform pearls and shell pearls in an array of iridescent colours.
Our semi-precious stones range from rose quartz and turquoise to amethyst and labradorite – and everything in between.
All of our findings are made from hypoallergenic materials, and depending on the piece, may be silver, gold or rhodium-plated, sterling silver, fine pewter or stainless steel. This means you can wear our pieces all day without irritation. We never use nickel or other common allergens.
